President: Octavia Murray
Ms. Murray has been an active member of the Central Florida Chapter of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice since 2013. During this time she has served as the Fundraising Chair, Vice-President, and currently as President. Ms. Murray is currently a Lieutenant with Orange County Corrections Department and has served in various capacities over her 15 year career. Ms. Murray has an Associate of Arts Degree and will soon be receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida.
Ms. Murray has been an active member of the community since the age of 13. She prides herself on investing in the community and the people who live in it. The Central Florida Chapter of National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice has provided a stage in which Ms. Murray can be a change agent in the community by enabling people to do more, be engaged, and creating a vision of what could or should be. In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King. "Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve.”
