Treasurer: Tonya Boyd
Tonya Boyd has been a member of the Central Florida Chapter of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice since October 2012. She is an active member currently serving as the Treasurer and the Marketing Committee Chairman.
Tonya is a Florida native and has lived in Central Florida since the age of 13. She currently works as a Correctional Officer at the Orange County Corrections Department, (OCCD), Orlando, FL under the leadership of Chief Cornita Riley. She performs her daily duties as a member of the Security Intelligence Unit which requires her to interact with staff, inmates and outside agencies in order to ensure the safety and security of the Department. During her 10 years at the Orange County Corrections Department, she has been a member of several specialty units to include the Hospital Security Team and the Honor Guard. She currently is a member of OCCD’s newly formed Hostage Negotiation Team and is a Cooper Certified Fitness Specialist for the Department. In addition to being a corrections officer, Tonya is a member of the Florida Air National Guard and is stationed at the 125th Fighter Wing in Jacksonville, FL. She has two handsome sons ages 21 and 15 years of age. Tonya is passionate about NABCJ and looks forward to furthering the growth and reach of the Central Florida chapter.
